Started watching anime again.

I went and took advantage of Crunchyroll's Ani-MAY sale so now I have a functioning Crunchyroll account for the first time in forever, haha. I decided to catch up on season 4 of That TIme I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, and then I binged Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill because that one's been on my list for a while.

I've seen the occasional complaint about Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream, and a commonality between them as far as I can tell is about how repetitive the game is. Which...yeah? The previous game was a 3DS game you were supposed to pick it up and put it down in smaller bursts. We're all just freaks who are excited because it literally just released two weeks ago, lmao. Even in a silly game like this, there's still a mundanity of life here. People got mad when Animal Crossing New Horizons leaned into that, too, lol. I guess this series is niche for a reason XD

Danny Phantom from my fanfics would like you to know that Stealing is Bad

I was reading this Danny Phantom/DC crossover fanfic the other day that's honestly kind mid but still fun enough to follow along with the updates, and the newest chapter had this silly little throwaway scene that I'm still kinda thinking about. The whole chapter's an adaptation of what's presumably an episode of a DC...something, where it seems that all the kids and adults get separated into, like, parallel worlds or something and its a whole thing. But in this case, Danny Phantom is here, and because Danny's a ghost and ghosts have a different relationship to aging than the living do, he can like ping-pong between the worlds.

Changing plans

After banging my head against it for a month I'm finally gonna give up on the Bowuigi sickfic I was trying to finish, lmao. Shame it took this long to get to this point...it was supposed to be for Feveruary! But the whole thing felt really stale. It was just like, "Luigi does this, then Bowser does that, But then Bowser does this other thing and Luigi does something else about it" and it was so boring T_T I'm finding that in order for a fic I'm writing to be compelling to me it either has to have a solid throughline or be really really funny, and this fic was hitting neither of those benchmarks; the throughline was weaker than I'd thought it was and there was only like one or two mildly funny jokes in there, haha.

I am not excited for the upcoming Mario movie.

As someone who has been avoiding a lot of the trailers and promo information for the new Mario movie, I am very scared and concerned about the stuff that has managed to slip past my blocked tags anyway. I've been seeing glimpses and screenshots of, like, the Drill and Cloud and Frog powerups here, Wart and Honey Queen in the voice cast there, and Rosalina and Bowser Junior, and Tostarina and the T. Rex from the Wooded Kingdom with Baby Mario and Luigi and Yoshi to boot and, like. What the heck is happening in that movie, honestly!
