Somewhere between Mario leaving to rescue Princess Peach and waking up from his nap, Luigi gains a visitor. It is not a visitor he is particularly enthused to have.

I firmly believe if you leave Kamek alone for long enough without the ability to do any evil or even a spot of mischief, he is going to a) start cleaning, b) start fussing, or c) do both a and b at once, somehow. The caretaker instinct runs strong, hehehe. Also, I think Kamek has some long-buried attachment to Luigi given that for a short while, he was under Kamek's care as a baby when his was kidnapped in the events of Yoshi’s Island.
