"What the —?!"

So many times when I’m writing a Mario fic, I end up waffling over whether these characters are allowed to say "hell" or not. Even though the only person who cares about it is me >:(

It's in the "list of implied locations" on the Mario Wiki, but the media that references it is mostly the comics and the Super Mario-kun, so I can't say that counts, lmao.

Straight replacing "Hell" with "Underwhere" is too clunky. "What on Earth" usually works, but a) are they even on Earth? and b) that's too...soft for when I want Bowser saying it. (And he is usually the one saying it — Mario and co. have "Stars" as their replacement for a lot of exclamations)

Honestly, there's probably a canon line of game dialogue somewhere that uses the word "hell", and thus absolves me of this dilemma. It's just that I have no efficient way of searching for it. What a pity.
