What I Did This Week

I didn't actually get to read any fanfiction this week! So in lieu of listing fic recs I'm just going to tell you some personal highlights from my week.

> Received choir music in rehearsal in 7/8+2/4 time and also 6/8+3/4 time. and also some normal 4/4 and 3/4 and 2/4 time signatures as well. Because why tf not, I guess!!!

> Accidentally backed my brother's car into a tree and now he's mad at me :(

> For her birthday, a friend invited a bunch of us to a beginners English Country Dancing lesson! It was a lot of fun. They used non gendered terms for calling the dances and also i will admit it was pretty cool to lead a lady around when the opportunity presented itself, lol. I might go for a proper lesson sometime, especially because they gave all the newbies a coupon for one additional free lesson~ And then at the birthday party afterparty we went to a restaurant and I got an apple cider+chai+cinnamon mocktail, which tasted amazing. The chicken wings were less good, but eh. Also we sang a barbershop tag before we left and everyone applauded, hehehe

> I prepped for the upcoming snowstorm! We're getting mostly a lot of snow so I'm not too worried, but better safe than sorry! I bought some extra food and water.

> My brother told me that he saw protestors outside of Citizens Bank on Saturday afternoon; apparently Citizens Bank is funding ICE detention centers :/ If I run into those protestors myself I'd love to ask if they have any recs for other, non-ICE supporting banks to switch to...

> Finished reading Arranging Barbershop Vol 1. Tried a hand at writing chords for Damage, 'cause I'd already transcribed it. It went very badly, as expected. I guess the song's chords are sub-optimal for barbershop, lol.

> I spent a solid amount of time blocking people on Tumblr who show up as red on Shinigami Eyes, lmao. Blocking people is fun, sometimes! It's interesting, in this case, to see the same names popping up over and over and over again.

> I realized that I should probably have a separate email for donating to charities and stuff. I wanna do like $25 per month for a charity and $25 per month for mutual aid, to start. That'll end up with me on a lot of mailing lists, otherwise XD Anyway, as soon as I do that, this site is where I'll start.
