I'm going to be honest if I see someone declaring Mario's a cishetallo ally I don't trust them to have good opinions about him in general. Especially when they're hc'ing every other Mario character under the sun as some flavor of queer in the same breath. 

Because he's always the ONLY nonqueer one in headcanon sets! Like y'all can't make him bi or pan or aro? Or "probably nonbinary but I don't have time to think about that I've got a princess to save"? Or at least make multiple people the allies and not just him, lmao

And you know while we're on the subject, I think I'm over Luigi being referred to as a Queen or Princess in fics, too, especially Bowuigi ones. Some fics get a pass for hand-waving towards Worldbuilding, and others that at least draw a connection from Mama Luigi to the feminine titles get a side-eye and little else, but the rest...I need to be meaner about them, for real.
