Wrote this on a whim, only took like an hour or two! Even though I’m busy with Sicktember prep OTL. But this idea came pretty much fuilly formed so I had to write it down, haha

Toadsworth's evening with his novel would have been perfect, if not for the cold he'd begun to come down with.
But all he could do for that was rest, for his immune system to hopefully intervene before he got any sicker. Hence why he’d turned in so early.
His headache wasn’t the only thing distracting him from the latest twist in the story, however. If he listened closely, there was also the faintest of hushed whispering from just beyond his door, along with the occasional soft tap of shoes on tile.
Toadsworth set his book down and quietly cleared his throat. “Oh dear,” he said, projecting his voice as loud as his sore throat would allow, “I seem to have run out of tea. I suppose I won't be able to get more this late in the evening.”
The footsteps outside rushed away; Toadworth huffed fondly. Really, those three had better things to do than worry over an old Toad who only felt a little under the weather.
Still, after falling asleep reading and waking up in the morning with his book set aside and a blanket thrown over him, he couldn't say he didn't welcome that worry at all.
