Welcome to the start of the MCYT Fic Rec Week-Plus-Two-Days section of Rec-Cember! Because despite really only getting into MCYT last October, I managed to bookmark upwards of almost 400 MCYT fic in total. This was not helped by the time I spent in early January scrolling through the entire Hermitcraft SMP fandom tag on AO3 (filtered for fic with gen, sectioned by year). Which is why Hermitcraft is going to get two whole overflow days in January, lmao.

Anyway I need to get on scrolling through the 2025 Hermitcraft genfic at some point next year. That’ll be fun!

They were only supposed to check out the city from a ledge up above, they weren’t intending to go down into it. Bdubs wasn't a fan of the place nor of the effects incurred if you caught the attention of the monster who guarded its treasure. All it takes is for them to spot a chest within reach that causes a change of plans, a terrible situation, and a split-second decision.
If rough respawns for his friends were the alternative, Bdubs could endure the dark.
